Hi there. I will be selling a digital product on [url removed, login to view] that will give access to a password-protected page on my Drupal-based site, [url removed, login to view] I will create the Drupal page and its contents (some HTML text and a Flash player), but I need help protecting the page with a password, and setting up the connection to the OS filesystem so that the Flash player can access its files there.
NOTE: I will need instructions on how to repeat this on my own for additional products, including new pages and new files on filesystem.
Here's how it should work:
1. The customer goes to the Drupal page, enters the password, and gains accesses to the page if password is valid. I will create the page.
2. If the password is invalid, the user is taken to separate "invalid code" Drupal page. I will create the page. If going to the separate page is difficult/expensive to program, the user can be shown a standard browser "Error accessing page" dialog box.
3. The page will contain some HTML and an embedded Flash player. The Flash player will need access to protected files on the server's filesystem (.flv, etc.). Ideally the customer should not be able to directly download those files. I will create the HTML and embedded Flash player code.
4. I should be able to easily change the Drupal page password, and the password for the OS files.
