I need help to design and assemble an access control system using arduino (for a gate)
The situation is this :
There is an electric gate. There are 2 badge readers, one on each side of the gate. When a badge is applied on a badge reader, the gate, depending on its state (closed, opened, letopened) is triggered to open, letopen, close.
I want to replace this badge reader system by a similar access control system using arduino.
There are 3 available wires that i can use :
a GND wire
a +24V wire (used to power the previous board)
a 0-5V wire (used to send the signal to trigger a change of state of the gate)
An electric signal must be sent through a signal wire to trigger the change of state of the gate (i already have captured / reproduced this signal with the help of another freelancer), and i can reproduce it using a arduino UNO board (with digitalwrite() LOW/HIGH)
The steps of this project are :
->help me to choose the appropriate components / parts for a access control system using arduino (preferably a badge reader or card reader or symbol reader or something similar)
->help me to assemble the circuit + provide the code to drive it
->help me to test / debug / fix the circuit / code, and suggest modifications / improvements.
