I need an expert who knows how to program a dsPIC micro controller to test its limits. Need someone who understands FIR and IIR signal filtering techniques.
Long term project but initially i need to start by generating some codes with explanations
Codes need to be done using either C or PIC languages.
Matlab / Simulink could be used to design the filters but this need to be implemented/tested on the PIC chip for testing purposes.
We can start by simply adapting a signal from a simple source, say a pure sine wave from a signal generator.
Frequency and amplitude can be easily changeable so that the frequency sweeps and get a quick idea of the frequency response of the filter in no time at all.
Aim of the project is not to filter some complicated signals but rather to see what are the capabilities of the PIC and whether we can make some use of the special features of dsPIC (MAC unit?).
Therefore we start with the use of the signal generator to make sure that, if we designed the filter with specific cut-off frequency, our filter does behave properly.
To re iterate, our filter should be as generic as possible, i.e. we should be able to quickly redesign the filter and run with it, using the same code (just changing the coefficients).
