I want to hard-wire my house with Cat6 so both the living room and my small office get a rock-solid connection for internet and the smart-home gadgets I’m gradually adding. The modem/router sits in the basement closet; you’ll need to pull new cable from there through the walls, terminate each end cleanly with keystone jacks or wall plates, and certify that each run is performing at Gigabit speed or better. The walls are accessible with a basement walkout, and there is reasonable attic crawl space above both target rooms. I can move furniture in advance and have power outlets available near the proposed drops. Deliverables • Two Cat6 runs (less than 50 feet): one to the living room, one to the office • Flush wall plates with labelled RJ-45 ports • Test results or screenshots confirming each link’s speed/continuity If you have the tools for cable fishing, punching, and network testing, plus experience keeping the job tidy and code-compliant, let me know your estimated time frame and any hardware you’d like me to pre-purchase. I have the cable and RJ45 connectors.
