We need a bespoke device to be made - something like a specific microscope camera. This is a device to make high resolution photos for different metal objects 3-6 cm of diameter - rare watches etc. Device should make a detailed photo of the part of the object (<1 cm) and send the file to the laptop by usb or wireless protocol. Files should be placed in a defined folder. Objects should be shot in the similar position.
The higher resolution is the better, 1 micrometer looks like good enough.
Preferred power supply is from a battery or USB, Device should be ready for work in 2-3 minutes, one shot should take not more than 10 seconds including positioning.
Device should be safe, quite light weighted and compact enough to set it up on any table.
Control may be made with a hardware or software (from laptop) shooting button.
Optical system has to ensure at least 5 mm of depth of field (better 10-15 mm). Positioning and focusing features have to ensure maximum 1-2 mm of play. Since resolution of photos should be very high, and size of shot files shouldn’t be very big to open it with a laptop quite fast, size of the shot area has to be small - 5 mm or so. And we need to shoot every time the same part of similar objects.
Lighting should ensure good quality of photos, without glare and flashback. Outer light protection has to be embedded in case of need.
Full cycle (sample placing - shooting - sending to laptop - photo opening in the folder) should be 20 seconds maximum.
We expect you to make a sketch, to select and order parts to assemble, to test assembled device, and to send us checked device, specification and assembly instruction. Good outlook is a plus.
