I need a single RFID tag that I can sew into my dog’s harness. The chip must arrive pre-encoded with one specific numeric ID that I will provide after the contract starts. No other data is required. I haven’t locked myself into a frequency yet—LF (134.2 kHz), HF/NFC or even UHF could all work—so feel free to recommend the best option for short-range, reliable reads in outdoor conditions. The finished tag has to be thin, flexible and safe to launder, because it will live inside fabric. Durability against mud, rain and the occasional swim is essential. Deliverables • One fully programmed RFID inlay or fabric-ready tag carrying only the supplied ID number • A brief spec sheet listing chip model, protocol (e.g., ISO 11784/11785, ISO 15693, EPC Gen2, etc.), read range and operating frequency • A quick test report or screenshot proving the ID is correctly written and readable with standard equipment • Basic sewing or attachment guidance so I don’t damage the antenna when installing the tag If you can handle small-batch production, let me know; otherwise a single prototype is fine for now.

Hi, I have experience working with RFID/NFC systems for embedded tracking, asset identification, and ruggedized wearable integrations, including flexible tags designed for outdoor and fabric-mounted use. I have 10+ years of electronics and embedded hardware experience and completed multiple RFID customization projects involving LF, HF/NFC, and UHF technologies with pre-programmed identifiers, environmental protection, and low-profile antenna integration. Approach ✅ I will recommend the most suitable RFID technology based on your read-distance, durability, and fabric-installation requirements, with priority on reliable outdoor scanning and waterproof operation. ✅ I will source and program a flexible washable RFID inlay with your supplied numeric ID, then verify readability using standard RFID equipment before shipment. ✅ I will provide a concise specification sheet, read-test proof, and sewing guidance covering antenna-safe stitching zones, bending limits, and waterproof handling practices. Questions ✅ What approximate read distance do you want between the harness tag and the reader during normal use? ✅ Will the tag mainly be read by smartphones, dedicated RFID readers, or custom scanning equipment? ✅ Does the ID need to remain permanently locked after programming, or should future rewriting remain possible? Best, Yaroslav

Dear Client, The biggest risk in this project is not creating an RFID tag with a custom ID. It is developing a tag that continues to read reliably after being sewn into fabric and exposed to bending, washing, mud, rain, and outdoor use. That is where practical RFID integration experience matters. I can help you develop a thin, flexible, fabric-ready RFID tag optimized for reliable short-range identification while ensuring durability, antenna protection, and consistent readability in real outdoor conditions. I would approach this by: ✅reviewing your intended read distance, reader type, mounting location, and environmental conditions to determine whether LF, HF/NFC, or UHF is the best fit for reliable operation ✅selecting a suitable RFID inlay/chip with your supplied numeric ID while optimizing antenna orientation, flexibility, and wash resistance for fabric integration ✅testing the tag for readability and durability, then providing installation guidance to avoid antenna damage during sewing or harness integration One key question: Will the tag primarily be read at very short range with a handheld/mobile reader, or should the design prioritize longer-range detection through fabric and outdoor movement? Message me and I’ll help create a durable, reliable RFID fabric tag that works consistently in real-world outdoor use — not just in ideal lab conditions. Best regards, Prat PCB Must Innovations

Hello, I am an RFID engineer with extensive experience in designing durable, launderable, and flexible tags for pet and outdoor applications. For your use case (short-range, reliable reads in outdoor conditions, sewable into fabric), I recommend **LF (134.2 kHz) ISO 11784/11785** (FDX-B or HDX) due to its tolerance to water/mud and stable read range. I will encode a single tag with your numeric ID, test it, and provide a spec sheet and attachment guidance. I am ready to begin as soon as you provide the numeric ID and confirm you prefer LF (or I can provide HF as alternative). Sincerely, Kayky

Hello, I can design and supply a single custom RFID tag for your dog’s harness that is thin, flexible, and safe to sew into fabric. Based on your use case (outdoor exposure, water, mud, washing), I recommend using LF 134.2 kHz (ISO 11784/11785 animal ID standard) because it is specifically built for animal tracking, works reliably at very short range, and performs better than HF/NFC or UHF in wet or dirty conditions. Once you provide the numeric ID after the contract starts, I will pre-encode it into the RFID chip so it contains only that single identifier with no extra data. The tag will be fully tested to ensure the ID is correctly written and readable using standard RFID readers. Deliverables: • One flexible, fabric-ready RFID tag programmed with your ID • Technical spec sheet (frequency, chip model, protocol, material, read range) • Proof of encoding (scan result or device readout screenshot) • Simple installation/sewing guidance to avoid damaging the antenna The tag will be designed for durability, including resistance to water, washing, mud, and general outdoor wear. I will ensure the antenna layout is suitable for stitching into a harness without affecting performance. If required, I can also advise on sourcing for small-batch or prototype manufacturing, but for now I will focus on delivering a reliable single prototype solution that meets your exact requirement.

Hi there, I can provide the complete, pre-encoded RFID solution for your dog's harness. To ensure this project succeeds under harsh outdoor conditions, I recommend using an HF (13.56 MHz) ISO 15693 tag (such as an NXP ICODE chip) or an ultra-rugged encapsulated LF (134.2 kHz) FDX-B tag. While UHF offers long range, its performance drops drastically near water and animal tissue. Standard NFC (ISO 14443A) has a highly restricted read range. An ISO 15693 (HF) flexible fabric inlay offers the perfect middle ground: a reliable short-range read (up to several inches), high resistance to body-water interference, and complete compatibility with standard commercial readers or HF-enabled smartphones. How I Will Deliver This Project: Hardware Selection: I will source a specialized, flexible PPS or silicone-encapsulated RFID laundry tag. These are specifically engineered for commercial textile processing, meaning they are completely waterproof (IP68), chemical-resistant, and rated to withstand repeated machine washing and high-temperature drying cycles without losing data or detuning the antenna. Pre-Encoding & Verification: Once the contract begins and you provide the numeric ID, I will encode the chip's data blocks using a dedicated hardware programmer. I will lock the memory blocks (if requested) to prevent accidental overwriting. Antenna Mapping: I will provide a clear, visual breakdown of the tag's internal layout, highlighting the exact boundary lines where stitching is safe.
