For analyzing the pneumatic circuit's performance, the most important thing is which parameters you want to compare: cylinder actuation time, air consumption, or pressure drop. This isn't specified in the requirements, and it determines whether a simple model is sufficient or whether compressibility and losses in the tubing need to be included. I haven't worked with pneumatics in Simulink before, but I have experience with microcontroller firmware, sensors, and actuator control in C/C++.
