I need a circuit to amplify and clean a signal from this transducer [url removed, login to view]
so that it can be input into this ADC [url removed, login to view]
It needs to be as simple, light weight and as small as possible as the circuit will be stitched into and worn on a garment.
The typical output for the 1132 is approximately 20 mV p-p for a normal breath for an adult subject. Interfacing this device to the Sparkfun A-D system will require taking care of two issues.
a. The signal will need to be amplified first, from 20 mV to maybe 1 V p-p. Filtering the signal to eliminate unwanted frequencies is usually done in the process of amplification.
b. Most ADC systems accept an input range of between 0.0V and whatever the positive supply is; +3.3, +2.7, etc. This will require that the signal conditioner actually add an offset to the output signal to place the signal baseline in roughly the center of the ADC input range. You may need to verify the input signal range of the ADC.
