*** This should be extremely easy for somebody who knows what he/she is doing. *** There is an existing site and I want to duplicate most of it (not all) on a new domain that will be intended specifically for viewing on all the most widely-used mobile devices. The site is somebody else's and I have copyright permissions to all of the content. Therefore, I do not have any access to the original files so everything will have to be downloaded directly from the web and then re-uploaded to the new site. You are welcome to do it manually or through automated means, as long as the site structure is maintained. For example, all articles must be correctly categorized, the meta description/keywords/title/information must be maintained, and links within the content must remain intact. In other words, I want an exact duplicate of the content except it will be posted to a new domain that is friendly to the most widely used mobile devices. The total content is over 1000 pages, approximately 3 million total words. I don't have an exact number on either of those... just know this is a large project. :) **** IMPORTANT **** In your bid, please prove that you have already (or are capable of) converting a large site into a mobile-friendly site. If you do not personalize your response and demonstrate you understand the requirements, your bid will be ignored.
1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No 3rd party components unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement).
(1) My preference is that you use Wordpress as the platform. However, if you believe a different platform (even static HTML) is best for the mobile platforms please let me know. I am currently uneducated about mobile platform support. (2) Whatever platform you use, it needs to be templated so that I can easily add/update elements to the pages globally (for example adding an advertisement to the top-left of articles, or adding a subscribe box to the top-right of the entire site, etc).
