I need a person that has good knowledge on Linux. I have an application running on Linux. The device has a 3G modem and also a wireless modem on it. Upto now, my application used only the 3G but now I want to use the wireless connection also. I have wifi access points installed already in the field and their names are known. My requirement is; - the system should scan the environment whether - if it founds any access point with name wifi1, wifi2 or wifi3 it should try to connect them. - the passwords of access points are written inside a file i.e. /home/wuser/etc/[url removed, login to view] - if the system succeeds the connection to any of them it should switch ppp0 off. (ppp0 is the network interface that is used to connect to 3G) - and system should continue to check the wireless connection. When it is lost, it should switch ppp0 on. - And during this operations when the connection type is changed it should change the content of the file /home/wuser/etc/[url removed, login to view] => when wifi is used file content will be wifi, when ppp0 is used file content will be 3G If you will solve this issue with a script/program etc you should guide me to make that start running when the pc is booted up.
