We are currently developing a website that will allow multiple people (up to six) to video conference through a page on our website. This website will be used for music teachers to teach music lessons such as piano or guitar locally or across the globe. Currently, we are focused on getting a working model together. We are in need of a developer or a development team who can assist us who has experience with the development of videoconferencing and or streaming sites. The videoconferencing piece of the project can be powered by a third party if necessary. We are not interested in hosting the actual video on her website and are prepared to pay fees for hosting of some kind. In the first phase of this project, we would like to see a webpage that is publicly available online where we can have the following experience: • Go to the URL of the page • Click on a button that says “Start Session?? • Similar to what happens on [url removed, login to view], a window of some kind will request access to our video camera and give the ability to choose the audio source. • Once access to the video and audio has been granted, we will see ourselves in the window. • We will be able to invite other people to join our session either via e-mail or by copying a URL which we can chat them on our own. • We will then be able to e-mail or chat the link to our session and others will logon, having the same experience that we did. • All of the people that have been invited and login to the URL will be able to see each other and hear each other through their video cameras. I am completely prepared that in order to use the website, you have to have some kind of an account. Upon creating your account, you can be given the URL of your page and will always be able to access that page and invite other people. Again, we’re not interested in the development of the actual website just yet… only in creating the technology that will work for this project.
A site that i can achieve what's in the desctiption... we'll then move onto phase 2. 1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No 3rd party components unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement).
We would prefer that this project be developed in PHP on a Linux based server unless we hear otherwise from someone with experience that this is a horrible idea.
