Circuit designing for 3 level water AC sensor

We are manufacturers of steam generators. For same we are looking for a circuit to sense 3 levels of water level using AC voltage or oscillating DC voltage. Currently in our design we have water level probes constantly at +5V DC and as soon as water touches one of the probe, voltage across probe drops to zero. Because of continuous DC voltage probes get caustic corrosion which reduces probe sensing capabilities. We need a circuit based out of AC voltage so as to avoid caustic corrosion on probe. Also circuit should give 3 sensing points corresponding to 4 probes(3 probes with positive voltage defining various level and one probe attached as ground to water tank. Water tank is made of stainless steel) so as to read by micro-controller for further activities. We already tried one circuit using CD4093 for generating oscillating voltage and is working fine when probe is short with ground but as soon as we introduce water in between circuit fails due to resistance of water.
