I need engineering-certified documents for a 3.5 meter tall composite privacy fence. There would be two parts to the fence - one 6 meters long and one 8 meters long. It was suggested to me that we use 75*75mm galvanised poles and the 8 meter wall would need 5 posts and 6 meter wall would need 4 posts. The top part of the fence can have any screening material (including with more than 50% wind loading). Happy to discuss any screening products for the top part of the fence. The design should be simple and functional, focusing solely on privacy. Hi, I’m an Engineer currently working in a local engineering consultancy, with extensive experience designing fences, privacy screens, steel posts and footings. I can provide the structural computations, drawings and supporting engineering documentation for your 3.5 m high privacy fence in coastal Perth, including wind loading, post/framing checks, connections and footing design. I can also assess whether the proposed 75 × 75 mm posts are suitable. In WA, the statutory certification is generally completed by the Building Surveyor, and I can provide the required structural supporting documents (as per local standards i.e. AS1170.2 - wind loads) for their assessment. To proceed, I would need: Exact fence location, preferably marked on Google Maps; Proposed screen product, or its unit weight (kg/m²) and porosity %; Height of the screen portion itself; and Geotechnical report for footing design.
