Twice-Weekly Prayer Procession Carrier — Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina (On-Site Physical Role) About This Work We run a small prayer intercession service. People from all over the world submit prayer intentions to us because they cannot travel to Medjugorje themselves. Distance, illness, finances, or family responsibilities keep them home. Our work is simple. We go for them. Twice a week, we carry their written prayer intentions up Apparition Hill, walk the 14 Stations of the Cross, and at the summit, we light candles — one for each type of prayer — and read every name and every intention. We are looking for someone already living near Medjugorje — ideally someone who knows and loves the hill — to take on this role with consistency and care. What the Role Involves This is a twice-weekly, on-site physical role. You will: Print the prayer intentions from our online database before each trip (we will show you exactly how) Walk the full Stations of the Cross procession from the base to the summit of Apparition Hill, twice a week Carry the printed prayer logbook and 8 individual colored candles up the hill At the summit, light each candle in sequence — one per prayer category (healing, family, peace, prosperity, love, spiritual growth, thanksgiving, new beginnings) For each candle lit, read aloud every prayer intention for that category — the person's name and their full written prayer Complete the procession by 12:00 noon local time each trip day Document each trip with photos and short video clips: the climb, the logbook pages, and the candles being lit at the summit Send the documentation to us after each completed trip as proof of the procession That is the full scope of the role. It is physical, consistent, and for the right person, genuinely meaningful work. Who This Role Is For We are looking for someone who: Lives in or very near Medjugorje — this is non-negotiable, since the procession happens on the actual hill Can read and speak English clearly — prayer requests are submitted in English by people from around the world, and you will be reading them aloud at the summit Is in good physical health and able to walk the rocky Apparition Hill path consistently Is reliable and consistent, since the people whose prayers we carry are counting on this happening Has a smartphone capable of taking photos and short videos Is comfortable accessing a simple online database to print prayer lists before each trip Experience with the Stations of the Cross or the Rosary is strongly preferred. You do not need to be a professional in any sense. We just need someone trustworthy who takes this seriously. What a Typical Trip Looks Like Before the trip, you will log into our system and print the current prayer intentions for that day. You carry the printed logbook and the 8 candles up the hill, walking the Stations of the Cross path. At the summit, you light each candle in turn and read each person's name and prayer aloud for that candle's color. After you come down, you send us the photos and video from the trip. A typical trip takes roughly 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on pace and the number of prayers that day. Compensation This is a paid role structured as follows: A fixed salary per completed trip, paid for each of the two weekly processions A separate fixed travel cost allowance per trip, on top of the trip salary, to cover your transportation to and from the hill Payment is released upon receipt of the trip documentation (photos, video, logbook snapshots, candle lighting footage) We are open to discussing fair rates based on your experience and local cost of living.
