We are looking for multilingual speakers with experience and/or formal education or training in maps-related GIS (Maps Information Systems). The selected candidates will prove interest in researching, analyzing and validating information for using web-based maps; reviewing news articles/socialmedia/official websites. Additionally, an important part of the role will also consist in providing customer service support for SMB (small and medium business)
The positions requires onsite presence on a full time basis at the following locations: Austin (US), South Bay Area (US) or Cork (Ireland).
The position will open development opportunities for those who do not have hands-on experience or formal education in the field. The role requires outstanding communication skills, passion for team work within cross-functional and global teams in a fast paced working environment.
• BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience
• For foreign-language contractors: Fluency in both a foreign language and English is required in both spoken and written form. Target languages include the following:
. Scandinavian (Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish)
. Client may request additional language capabilities in the future.
• Incredibly detail-oriented
• Strong web-research skills, including comfort using web-based maps
• Comfort with placing outbound calls
• Adept at working with large data sets with an ability to identify patterns
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in small and large cross functional teams
1+ year of experience in geospatial data analysis or map quality evaluation
Ability to review large data sets with high attention to detail
Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions
Description of Services Requested
Map Data Evaluation (English + Target Foreign Languages)
Map data analysis and validation.
Main responsibilities may include:
. Placing out-bound calls.
. Performing web-based research to evaluate data quality.
o Research may include: (1) using web-based maps; (2) reviewing news articles/socialmedia/official websites.
. Performing spatial/geometry-focused analysis of map data using geo-spatial tools such as ArcGIS (experienced contractors).
. Applying critical thinking to identify high-level data trends.
. Creating regularly scheduled and/or ad-hoc analytical reports as needed.
Customer Support (English + Target Foreign Languages)
Technical support and customer service to enterprise customers following standard diagnostic procedures with an emphasis on handling the most frequently asked questions as quickly and effectively as possible, recognizing more complex problems, and escalating accordingly.
Main responsibilities include:
. Providing basic to moderately complex support to enterprise customers.
. Following escalation procedures to resolve problems or issues.
. Providing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with all of Client’s customers and show empathy for the customers at all times.
. Identifying the root cause of trending issues through web-research.
. Performing software usability testing and provide feedback.
. Analyzing information and issues to bring them to resolution through web-research, data analysis, and critical thinking.
