Cultural Trip Lead: Chennai & Kerala

A culturally-curious group will soon travel through Chennai and onward into Kerala. Hotels, internal transport and meals are all secured; what the journey still needs is one energetic trip lead who can stay with the travellers every day, weave historical context into each stop and steer them toward the best traditional dishes along the way. The focus is purely cultural. Days revolve around key historical sites—temples, colonial quarters, spice ports—punctuated by tastings of authentic Tamil and Malayali cuisine at local favourites rather than tourist buffets. The lead is expected to walk the travellers through each location, handle on-the-ground logistics in real time and keep the schedule running smoothly while my team manages payments for accommodation, food and vehicles behind the scenes. Deliverables • A refined, day-by-day itinerary highlighting must-see heritage spots and curated food experiences in both regions • Continuous in-person guidance from arrival in Chennai until the final Kerala stop, including commentary, translations and crowd management • Coordination with our pre-booked drivers, hotels and restaurants to ensure timing and comfort stay on track • Quick daily check-ins with me (phone or WhatsApp) so that any adjustments can be handled before they affect the group Acceptance criteria: travellers leave each site with a clear understanding of its history, eat at least one recognised local speciality per day, and finish the tour feeling personally looked after from first pickup to farewell. Fluency in English plus either Tamil or Malayalam is ideal, solid knowledge of regional history and street-level food culture is essential, and previous multi-day guiding experience will be valued highly.
