My team is hosting a Modern-themed grand opening next Saturday and I need an experienced sommelier to elevate the guest experience from first pour to final toast. Here’s what I’m counting on you to handle: • Curate a balanced wine list that fits the sleek, contemporary vibe of the event, then pair each bottle with our canapé and small-plate menu. • Set up and run an engaging tasting station throughout the evening, guiding guests through the flavour profiles and answering their questions in real time. • Deliver a brief yet insightful presentation—think 10 minutes tops—introducing the curated wines, proper tasting technique, and the logic behind each pairing. You’ll have my full support with vendor contacts and service staff, and you’ll have access to the venue a few hours beforehand for setup and chilling. All equipment for the station (ice buckets, glassware, spit buckets) can be requested in advance so nothing is missing on the day.
