I get an ftp everyday with an excel spreadsheet. Each spreadsheet is identical except the date. There are 16 columns and 48 rows. Each column has a tree name (like Aspen, Cedar, Birch) and each row has a name (like cash, accrued). The columns are an identifier and the rows are a statistic (usually a dollar amount).
What I need: The creation of a database that automated to update each day that stores the information in a nice format. So, for example, I could output the cash for Aspen for all days that existed.
Furthermore, I would like a button interface. The first set of buttons, I could check the tree names I want. The second set of buttons I could select the row names I want (like cash or accrued). The third set of buttons, I could select the time frame (like 11/2/2014 to 11/20/2014). Then , the result would be generated graphs and statistics displayed...as well as the data selected of all the 3 buttons.
I have a file I can show to serious workers on this. Not sure how much it should cost.
To clarify, the output and database that updates each day should contain ALL previous files. Like stacking matrices on top of each other and then pulling out slices of the cells.
