I have 2 files, one known as [url removed, login to view] and the other as Contributor.xls. For [url removed, login to view], I need to re-arrange the addresses based on their respective format as described below: 1. Merge the salute, First Name and Last Name into one column and name it as Add 1. Add 1 cannot be left blank or with only spaces. If empty, shift the content in Add 2 into Add 1. Add 2 can be left blank. 2. Keep the content in Add 2, 3 and 4 unless the number of characters in Add 2 exceeds 100 characters. 3. Combined the City, State and Postal Code and name it as Add 5 and delete the details in the columns for City, State and Postal. Exception to this rule: a. Canada/USA ??" Do not merge the City, State and Postal Code. The City should be placed in Add 5. b. Germany ??" Add 5 should contain the details in the following order: Postal Code, City and State c. UK ??" Keep the postal code as is. Add 5 should contain only City and State. Countries in this category include Great Britain, England, Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Wales, Channel Islands, Scotland d. Japan ??" City, State and Postal Code should be merged and placed in Add 5, and the postal code should continue to remain in the Postal Code Column with 5 digit postal code format. 4. Remove question marks from the addresses. 5. Pick up the Issue number and place in it into the Issue Column. For [url removed, login to view]: 1. Remove all the line breaks in the address column and insert a comma if comma does not exist before the line break. 2. Break up the text into Add 2, 3 and 4 using 100 characters as the limit. Make sure that the word is not broken up into 2 separate columns.
