I have an existing Excel workbook that is eating up too much of my day with repetitive, rule-based actions. I’m looking for a seasoned VBA developer who can step in, study the workflow, and turn those clicks and copy-pastes into slick, reliable macros. Here’s the big picture: every run of the workbook follows the same pattern—open data sheets, apply a standard set of transformations, push results to summary tabs, and save an updated file for distribution. Right now I’m doing it manually; after your work, I want to press a single button (or trigger a Workbook_Open event) and watch it complete itself. What I’ll share once we get started: • A sample file with dummy data that mirrors the live workbook • A written walkthrough of the current manual steps and rules • Any helper functions I’ve already begun (feel free to improve or replace) What I need back: • Clean, well-commented VBA modules that automate the full sequence • Error handling so the macro fails gracefully and tells the user what went wrong • A quick read-me inside the code or a short PDF explaining how to trigger and edit the macro I work exclusively in Microsoft 365, so please test on the same version to avoid library conflicts.
