I have a very large raw set of data that I would like to transform into a dynamic reporting tool in Excel. I want to speak with someone who is very good in Excel to show me how to develop a dynamic report out of this data. The data has a combination of text and numbers, so pivot tables won't work. What is needed is something like a pivot table, but that also works for raw data that has a combination of numbers and text.
The attached file has a sample small size of raw data that is in "Raw Data" spreadsheet. The "Report" spreadsheet is using the Subtotal functionality in Excel. I would like to speak with someone to show me how to make this report much more dynamic to accommodate a much larger set of raw data and be much more flexible.
Required features include:
1. Adding a drop down menu on top for "Material Group" and "Vendor ID" (currently in columns B and F in attached file). Once a selection is chosen in these filters, data in the report would get updated including all grand totals and subtotals.
2. Adding a dynamic weighted average on row 2 of the Report spreadsheet for columns K through Q, using column D for the weights. Note that Columns K through Q have some blanks while column D doesn't. This dynamic weighted average would get updated every time any of the filters for the other columns get changed.
The person I want to speak with will have to be experienced enough to show me how to do that via a web conferencing tool where we can share screens (Skype or any other readily available tool).
I am not satisfied with using the Subtotal functionality in Excel because. The Report I'm looking to for should be much cleaner and more flexible.
Interested bidders must send me a screenshot of how they would envision the report would look like.

It's doable, but it's not your everyday task, so I have to charge higher. I'll make it work and make you understand perfectly how it was done, though. Thanks! Felipe
