I’m ready to commission a streamlined order-management application tailored specifically for a manufacturing environment. The core objective is painless, accurate order fulfillment for standard orders—capturing each job the moment it’s confirmed, walking it through every production stage, and closing it once it ships. Here’s what I’m looking for: • A web-based dashboard where I can enter or import new standard orders, assign them to production lines, and track their progress in real time. • Automated status updates that alert the next team (and the customer if needed) whenever an order moves forward or encounters a delay. • Solid search and filter tools so staff can instantly locate any order by job number, customer, or date. • Role-based access: production leads see only their line, managers see plant-wide activity, and finance can pull finished-order summaries for invoicing. • Clean, exportable data so we can plug finished-goods numbers into our existing reporting tools later on. While the immediate priority is end-to-end fulfillment, I’d like the codebase structured so future add-ons—inventory syncing, deeper analytics, or even modules for custom or bulk orders—can slot in without a full rebuild. Please outline the stack you’d use, any similar manufacturing systems you’ve delivered, and a realistic timetable from kickoff to go-live.
