My company is doing a comprehensive new website design for a lingerie company located here in Hollywood, and we need someone to design all the visuals for it.
They are looking for a very feminine, cutesy, girly feel to the site. The brand is sexy but playful. We want to stimulate the love that girls have of getting dressed up, and the brand feel is reminiscent of a little girl playing dress-up and being glamorous. It’s a little tongue in cheek, as opposed to a more serious feel like victoria’s secret.
The site can have a cartoonish feel, the owner specifically mentioned the “I dream of Genie” opening, and the opening credits for the “Anna Nicole Smith Show.”
The color scheme is going to be hot pink and purple, on a white background and the design should incorporate the current logo, and the flash-animation style Mascot (see attached). I thought the hearts, swirls, and the head of the mascot could be used as design elements throughout the site (the heart and swirl could be especially versatile).
Since this is going to be an e-commerce site, we want it to be as flat as possible, but we might like to use a couple flash animations. Suggestions that came up mostly revolved around the theme of the mascot character attempting to act sexy but ending up being a klutz. For instance strutting by the logo catching her top on it and having it be pulled off so that she has to cover up with her arms. Bouncing boobs and blushing are definitely in, and we don’t mind if she flashes us as long as she looks genuinely contrite afterward 
The general page types for which we’ll need templates are as follows. Everything must be stylized: Text, buttons, etc.
-Header/Left Nav/Footer (This will be on every page)
-Homepage (layout should accommodate space for PR/News about the company as well as featured products)
-Info Page (This is primarily as issue of Text styling and layout, as well as any styling issues with embedded jpegs)
-Product Category Page (with mouse over pop-up balloon)
-Product info Page
-Shopping Cart Page
Since we plan to launch in September, we will need the three seasonal designs above quickly as the holiday season hits. These do not have to be drastic design changes, and they should be easily implemented. We definitely want seasonal changes to the look of the mascot such as a bra-top that looks like pumpkins for Halloween (maybe fangs, bat wings, etc.), sexy santa suit (a la the cartoons in any holiday issue of playboy) for Christmas, and maybe a cupid motif for valentines day. Other minor stylistic changes, for instance changing bullet icons from swirls/hearts to pumpkins, or santa hats, or hearts with arrows through them (I’m just brainstorming here), would be good. Our goal is to keep the design familiar year round with seasonal changes that are apparent but not overwhelming. The best example I can give for this is google. They change their frontpage logo art for every holiday but the design always looks like google.
Take a look at the attachment to get an idea of what their current stuff looks like. The shopping cart we are going to be using can be seen with a straight out of the box version of the interface at [url removed, login to view] this should demonstrate the elements we will need designed such as buttons and the mouse over balloon on the item category pages.
Please submit a mock-up homepage with your bid. BIDS WITHOUT A MOCK-UP WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
