Hi everyone -
I am looking to refresh my existing site: [url removed, login to view] and have designed something in photoshop which I want to convert over. You can see that here: [url removed, login to view]
I'm not sure the best way to approach this, so I am looking for thoughts and ideas. I have played around with slicing the PSD up, but I am not sure if that is the best way to go.
There are several aspects to the site:
1. I would like to keep the foundation in HTML.
2. There is a slideshow, on the home page, and in the gallery section, which is flash. It is a [url removed, login to view] slideshow. Currently, the website has containers which you can see I use to insert the flash coding. Right now the slideshow is 1000px wide. I can reduce it to 900, if need be for sizing, but don't really want to go smaller than that. Also, I would like the lighter parts of the center background image you see on the /[url removed, login to view] to be visible from the surrounding slideshow. I think that just mean I need to make the background of the slideshow coding transparent, but am naturally looking for advice with that too.
3. I would like it setup in such a way I can add or change the menu items. I currently am taking the same setup, and use it for client proofing sites when their photos are ready. It is very fast and easy process right now. I can just change menu items and the link locations and I'm good to go. Also, from time to time, on the main site, I add menu items to try things out with clients. So I need to be able to adjust things.
I do have PS CS4, Flash CS4, Illustrator CS4, and have the trial of DW CS4, which I can get if need be.
Thanks for taking the time to read, and I am happy to answer questions or hear your thoughts.
Edit: Typo - I have Flash CS3, not CS4.
