Viral Platform Game for a Rainforest charity
To Sum Up: We are looking for a flash game developer, to help us put together a simple viral game for the charity ‘Rainforest Foundation’ (for which all graphic elements have been produced already!).
Aim: The aim of the game will be to provide the charity with as much exposure as possible and to increase subscriptions. It will also communicate the charity’s role in the protection of the rainforest and the way in which they provide support to the local communities that live there.
Game Description: The game has been designed to communicate and educate in the way in which it provides helps to protect the rainforest. It does this by giving the local people that live there, the tools and know how to map out their land. This information is then taken to the government and given legal protection from logging companies.
***all levels are quite short and simple, and each level starts with a title page which explains the mission visually.
Level 01 – is a very short level where as the game player controlling a character that represents the charity - you are to travel your way through a stretch of jungle, to a remote village. When you arrive, you are to deliver a GPS unit for the mapping of their territory to the villagers.
Level 02 – as from this level you are now controlling one of the villagers in his mission to map out their land. This level you navigate the villager up a waterfall to the fishing pool.
Level 03 - This level you navigate the villager through the tree canopy, where they find fruit and nuts.
Level 04 – This level you navigate the villager up the maintain to the sacred stone.
Once completed there is an animation showing the villages celebrate, as the map is handed back to the charity to be taken to the government and then to be legally theirs to protect.
***In addition to the level programming work there will be some additional programming for name and email registration and a time counter, showing the time a player completed the game and some possible links to other html pages. There will also be some introductory information and for the game, for which graphic elements will be supplied. Also a game loading percentage bar.
Flash programmer: The person we are looking for will be available from now and will be confident to put together a game of this nature within 2 weeks.
Budget: As a charity, there is a limited budget of £1,000 - £1,600 depending on experience.
