Balinese & Javanese Long-Form Translation

Job Description: We are looking for native or highly fluent Balinese and Javanese speakers to help with a manual translation project for a picture dictionary. We have a Google Sheet containing 6,000 categorized words that need to be translated carefully and accurately. This is not machine translation work. Every word must be translated manually with great attention to meaning, common usage, and correctness. Because this material will be used as language learning content in Indonesia, accuracy is extremely important. There must be no mistakes, awkward translations, or incorrect word choices. What you will do: • Go through a Google Sheet with 6,000 categorized words • Manually translate each word into Balinese or Javanese • Make sure translations are natural, correct, and suitable for educational use • Preserve the spreadsheet structure exactly as given • Flag any words that may need clarification instead of guessing Requirements: • Native speaker or highly fluent in Balinese or Javanese • Strong understanding of correct everyday vocabulary • Able to work carefully and consistently • Experience with translation, language teaching, dictionaries, or educational materials is a plus • Must be comfortable working in Google Sheets Important: • This must be 100% manual translation • No AI translation • No Google Translate • No copying from unreliable sources • Accuracy matters more than speed When applying, please include: • Which language you are applying for: Balinese or Javanese • A short description of your fluency and background • Any relevant translation or language work experience
