Project Title: Grant Research and 12-Month Funding Calendar for Youth Outdoor Nonprofit Project Description: I am looking for someone to research and build a 12-month grant opportunity calendar for Overland Youth, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on helping youth and families build confidence, connection, and core memories through outdoor experiences. This project is not for generic grant lists. I need real, relevant funding opportunities that fit our lane and can be used for planning. About Overland Youth: Overland Youth provides outdoor experiences, family-focused programming, youth workshops, and access to nature for young people and families. Our work connects to youth development, outdoor recreation, nature access, family engagement, confidence building, conservation, community wellness, and potentially veteran mentorship. Grant lanes to research: Please focus on grant opportunities related to: Youth development Outdoor recreation Nature access Conservation education Camping, overlanding, or outdoor adventure Family engagement Mental health and wellness through nature Underserved youth access to outdoor experiences Community-based nonprofit programming Veteran mentorship or veterans serving youth, where appropriate Nebraska, Midwest, and national foundation opportunities Small nonprofit-friendly grants What I need delivered: A 12-month grant calendar with opportunities organized by month. Each opportunity should include: Grant/funder name Website link Actual application deadline Internal planning deadline, which should be one month before the actual deadline Grant amount or typical award range Eligibility requirements Why it fits Overland Youth Notes on required attachments, such as budget, IRS letter, board list, letters of support, etc. Whether the deadline is confirmed, estimated from past cycles, or rolling Recommended priority level: High, Medium, or Low Important deadline instruction: For planning purposes, I want the calendar to show an internal deadline that is one month before the actual due date. Example: If the real grant deadline is July 31, the calendar should list our working deadline as June 30. Please still include the actual funder deadline in a separate column. Deliverable format: Please provide the final calendar in an editable spreadsheet format such as Excel or Google Sheets. I would also like a short summary of the best 5 to 10 grant opportunities and why they are the strongest fit. What I do not want: A generic copy-pasted grant list Grants that are obviously not a fit Expired opportunities with no indication of future cycle Federal grants that are too complex for a small nonprofit unless they are a very strong fit Opportunities that require a large existing staff or unrealistic reporting burden AI-generated filler without source links Ideal freelancer: The right person should have experience with nonprofit grant research, foundation research, funding calendars, or nonprofit development work. Experience with youth programs, outdoor recreation, conservation, education, or community-based nonprofits is a plus. Proposal questions: Have you built a grant calendar before? What sources do you use to verify grant deadlines? Can you include both the actual deadline and an internal deadline one month earlier? How many relevant grant opportunities do you believe you can provide? Can you deliver this in an editable spreadsheet? Please share one example of a grant opportunity you think might fit a youth outdoor nonprofit. Budget: Please provide a fixed-price quote. I am open to starting with a smaller research project first if needed, but the main goal is a usable 12-month grant calendar.
