Purpose: Recipe book. Initially an eBook, but later to be distributed as a print publication.
Job Description: Icons should be a minimum size of 236 x 236 pixels to allow for 300 dpi print. Bigger is fine if you want a bigger work space, but not smaller, and it must be a square.
Icons should be delivered as layered Photoshop PSD files, compatible with Photoshop Elements.
The attached clipart icon is exactly the kind of style I'm looking for.
Key design points:
- Some kind of background square which doesn't take up the whole icon space
- Simple minimal colour line art, not photo
- Contemporary look, not child-like line art
There are 8 icons in total that I need. I wont post them up here but will put them on the PMB so only members can view them.
As mentioned, I like the idea of having a background square of some kind like the example attached. This really helps give across the ‘icon' feel, helps it visually fit within a set square rather than just looking like several suspended pictures, and also brings a common element to all the icons.
Although I'm happy for the background squares to all be the same style, I would however like them to all be different colours. This will help the reader instantly separate each one on sight.
To be considered for the project I will need a mock up of any of the icons (don't mind which) posted on the PMB to see the kind of thing you have in mind.
Due to some programmers taking the money and running, money for the project will be placed in Scriptlance escrow on acceptance until project completion.
