We are in need of a graphic designer to create ORIGINAL images for our existing website. We're looking for a simple look in colors that blend well with our logo. We love the style of Apple's iPhone/iPad icons as well as the graphic work of skype.com. Both of these show the beauty of simplicity. All the images should reflect a single style so that the site feels cohesive. We need a total of 13 images, with a possibility for another project given exclusively to the chosen graphic designer for designing buttons for the website.
Our website is being developed here: [url removed, login to view] You can see what we currently have there.
The images we need are as follows:
1) Rectangle that demonstrates the concept "Technology Made Simple". It may or may not say those words, as long as it communicates the idea. It could be something like email, smartphone, server, laptop all communicating in a simple diagram. This goes on the "home" page.
2, 3 and 4) Smaller icons that would be captioned as "Budget", "Trust" and "Teamwork". Budget could be related to a dollar sign, trust could be some sort of handshake. There are many ways of displaying teamwork.
5 through 10) These are images for our services. The services vary with the size of our client's network. You can see the images we have now which represent the idea well, except we do not own the images and want to have our own. Also, we feel the feel of the images does not go well with our site.
The last three are the most involved ones. These should be large (600x600 or so) images that would show without words what our solutions are. The solutions are: Uptime/Service Monitoring, Backup Monitoring, and Remote Support. More details follow.
11) Uptime and Service Monitoring: This is where I need a graphic to explain visually how monitoring works. What I want to convey is that
we have are constantly watching over their servers. We can tell almost instantly when a service stops (for example, the SQL service stopped). The graphic could display a bunch of servers, all with green lights for being all ok, and one server having Email with a green light, Web with a green light, and SQL with a red light and/or warning symbol. Even though I can't draw to save my life, I can provide a mockup to show the general idea.
12) Backup Monitoring: In here I need something similar to the uptime monitoring which visually explains backup monitoring. We could show a bunch of servers with green lights for successful backups, some with yellow lights for "Completed with Exception" backups and one or two with red lights for failures. Also, we need to convey how you can see the history on a single server, like a graph in the corner showing the historic health of the backups. Once again, I can provide a mockup if necessary.
13) Remote Support: Once again, I need a graphic that shows how remote support works. Basically a person connects to a website to request support, downloads a small applet and that lets us connect to their computer. We could show visually something like a person with a computer with an error message, they connect to our website and then you see a technician seeing the same screen (and error message) as the first person,
and lastly the person with the problem resolved. I'm open to suggestions. Ultimately I just want something that clearly explains that they don't need to wait for somebody to drive to their location, nor bring the computer to us.
