Animated logo required for musical show

Summary:- I need a logo for my new show – a musical called ‘Act Your Age’ - which is to be performed by amateur dramatic groups on stage in the UK. Two versions:- I need a non-animated, high resolution, version of the logo for printed material (posters, advertising flyers etc). For the web site, I need a version that has some simple animation to catch the eye and to indicate to the viewer some of the humour that is in the show (see themes below) Technical points:- Some of my potential customers will not be sophisticated computer users and may not have Flash installed. For this reason, I would prefer to have something that all browsers can interpret such as an animated GIF rather than Flash animation (unless you can recommend a method by which a flash animation automatically appears as a static image when viewed with a non-Flash-enabled browser but appears as an animated image when viewed with a Flash-enabled browser) Size and shape:- For the web site, the logo will be the main banner. For the printed version, the logo will be the main header eg 120 x 50 mm on an A4 sheet of paper. The themes:- The show is a light comedy. It has three themes: (a) celebrities, (b) old people (c) Farce. The celebrity theme is not about any specific celebrity; more about the modern world’s obsession with celebrity and the paparazzi who chase after them. Anything to clearly indicate a celebrity or celebrity life style would be good (eg sun glasses, a stretch-limo, long paparazzi lenses, designer clothes etc). The old people are the heroes. In the story they must pretend to be celebrities. Ideas that convey old age would be good eg walking sticks, knitting, cups of tea etc. The third theme is farce as in a farcical play. Characters in the show keep coming in and out of doors unexpectedly, trying to evade other characters. In keeping with most farce, these characters are dressed in nothing but a towel, trying to preserve their modesty. The humour that comes from the near nudity is not so much about raunchiness – it’s more about the fear of being embarrassed. I am looking for a logo that illustrates all three themes using cartoons, line drawings etc (possibly in silhouette ?) all intermingled with the text which is: ‘Act Your Age, A Musical Farce’. The more that can be conveyed - by images that are as simple as possible - the better. The attached word file shows my initial thoughts I am sure it can be much improved upon. The text in my example is in Broadway font (although this is not a requirement). Two cartoons illustrate old age and celebrity. But there is nothing yet to illustrate farce. Responses:- I am looking for a logo designer / graphic artist who can demonstrate a good grasp of the brief and who can show me a portfolio of work that includes examples of uncomplicated, effective graphics. Your bid should allow for producing a draft version followed by discussions and re-working. Rights:- Once the final version has been agreed, the copyright for the logo must be transferred to me along with all the source material (although I will probably come back to you if I want modifications on the future).
