Artwork will be used by silk screener to print using nickle or silver colored ink on black t-shirts. Since will be single color, wish to make extensive use of texturing to give the illusion of shades of gray. The theme is a small motorcycle shop on Saturn's moon Titan. I have images of Saturn, Titan's surface, bike store, and futuristic motorcycle. They need to be "combined" into an Adobe Illustrator vector file in an artistic, creative way.
The scene will basically be looking from behind and to the side of the store. The single motorcycle will be parked outside the building. There will be a sign stating something like:
"Custom Chrome for your Space Cruiser
[url removed, login to view]"
all done in a space-age looking font. The store is located on the edge of a canyon. Looking towards the horizon you will see some of Titan's surface. Looming large above the horizon is Saturn in a somewhat vertical orientation with its rings and a couple of its other moons. Perhaps some stars scattered through the background.
As I stated, I have raster images to use as a basis for creating the vector art.
I thought about trying to do this myself, but though I'm good with photoshop, I'm a beginner with Illustrator.
The overall image will be a somewhat vertical format since I wish it to occupy the entire back side of the t-shirt.
I have included the images that form the basis of the design. I would like Saturn to be quite large and looming in the sky. I would also like the parked motorcycle to be quite large in the foreground, and of course the sign outside the store with the writing must be quite visible. I included an image of a screened t-shirt as a rough example of the "texturing" I referred to. For printing costs, I am desiring to use a single ink color.
