This project is to enhance an already existing product by revamping and modernising all of the icons used in the program.
These are for use on toolbars, menus, touch screen buttons, dialog buttons etc.
The current Icons were designed many years ago and now need to be modernised. Originally they were only 16x16 pixels and limited colours. Now need many more icons as well as having more colours, 16x16, 32x32, 48x48,? 64x64, 128x128. Some dialog buttons will be various sizes.
These are all related to electronic charts, mapping, sailing, power boating, navigation, routing, marine, engines etc.
The icons are all required to have the same styling and the creator must also supply a price for additional ICON creation when new Icons need to be created for the same product and in the same style.
The number of ICONs in the first batch would be of the order of 50 or so.

Thank you very much for all your interest in this project. I have had a lot of replies and this has highlighted the need for more information on exactly what is required. I have therefore created a document that describes what ICONs we require and a set of rules that these icons must adhere too. You can get this document at [url removed, login to view] For those who do not know the application, you can download a demo copy of the application from [url removed, login to view] and go to the demo download page. If getting these details you need to change your bids (as we have modified the details slightly and clarified a few ambiguities) then please do so. If possible, to show your capabilities and design skills and improve your chances of success then we would welcome a sample of what you might propose for this application now that you have been given a better brief. We obviously don’t want every icon created but a sample of a couple of icons at 16x16 and 64x64 would give us confidence that you were in-tune with our thinking. If you are successful in the bid, we would require a small set of Icons initially so that the overall styling can be approved. Then we would ask for the rest of the icons. You may need further explanation of what some of the icons represent to make it easier for you to do the design and we would supply as much information as possible about the functionality and maybe even suggest a type of image as a basis for the ICON. Looking forward to your bids. Regards Garry Symes
