I am looking for a UI designer for a tycoon game I've been building in the past year. Feel free to review the development blog ([url removed, login to view]) for more information on the game, its current state, and alpha screenshots.
One of the things I'm struggling with is the complexity of this style game and making it appear simple to use and understand. I believe it was one of the iOS designers that stated (paraphrased), "We didn't want to design something that was the easiest to use. The design should be obvious. We wanted to design something where the end user would want to accomplish something, and say 'of course!' while actually performing the action." That would be my focus in this game as well. The needed information should be available right up front while everything else is easily accessible.
Some of the things I am looking for is a redesign of the main interface, redesigning about 10 windows, and a splash screen. Depending on the quality of work, I may use help on redesigning the art assets (the characters, their desks, etc.)
