Your task is the production of background graphics for a Hidden Object game. The background graphics are completely decorated and will be provided with photo objects later by ourselves (not your task).
The kind of style and the quality is defined by the examples (style*.jpg). The examples are already with photo objects, but it´s not your task to do also! Please have a look at the back*.jpg to see what your tasks are.
The task of the player will be to recognize objects on the background graphics. The difficulty is the big number of objects which are fused with the background graphic. The player will be flooded by many colors and shapes. Please have a look at game sites like bigfishgames where you can download and test other Hidden Object games for free (60 minutes). We recommend “Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst“, “Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects”, “Hidden Expedition: Everest” and “Mystery P.I. - The Lottery Ticket”.
We need all backgrounds with a resolution of 800x600 Pixel. Because of an interface, 90 Pixel at the bottom and 60 Pixel at the top will be hidden. This area must be decorated but free of important graphics. We do not need a big depth of the backgrounds with big rooms or free areas. The game event happens at the straight nearness.
You will find for every background the specifications. All specifications are not a lifelike instruction. The specifications are more an instruction of style. You and your creativity are responsible for the arrangement of all backgrounds. To avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary work, you will send us at first two scribbles of every screen. You will start the fine work and coloring after you got our OK,.
Two or three bigger objects must be on every background graphic (e.g. car on a scrap yard). To hide photo objects behind these bigger objects, they must be also on a separate layer in the graphic file. We will get a bigger depth effect and difficulty.
All used buildings, landscapes and objects look typical for Europe and North-America. Please do not use any special objects like half-timbered houses. Do not use any kind of written words!
The player will go through the map to the following locations. We need two maps:
1) barn, stable and garden
2) remaining locations
The first map shows the straight neighborhood of the characters (3 childs). The second map shows the city. All locations have to be represented by a matching object.
The barn is located on a farm outside the city. The farm is a very peaceful and idyllic place. The barn is old but not decayed.

The stable is at the same farm like the barn. The style of the stable must be the same like the barn. The stable is old but well cared-for and kept in good condition.

The garden is green and overgrown with flowers. At a prominent place is a Rabbit-hutch. The hutch looks not too much like a prison for pets! One door of the rabbit-hutch stands open. Also a dog-kennel must be shown.

The tailor's is a small shop lead by a very old woman. The shop is very comfortable, old style furnished and full of stuff.

It´s a typical office with desks, computers and plants. The office is light, pleasant and modern.

It`s an outside enclosure for raccoons (without any kind of animal). The enclosure will not take a big part of the picture, other buildings and elements of a zoo must be shown. The enclosure should not look like a prison!

It´s a fairground in the city. The fairground is located nearby the city-park on a free area. At the fairground must be a booth for Hot-dogs, Popcorn etc.

The city-park is located among the city. The park is green and idyllic and good for a walk or to relax on a bank. In the middle of the picture is a wide meadow with a small hillock. One of the park-pictures (meadow or pond) must show a booth for Hot-dogs, Popcorn etc.

12: city-park pond
The city-park is located among the city. The park is green and idyllic and good a walk or to relax on a bank. In the middle of the picture is a pond. One of the park-pictures (meadow or pond) must show a booth for Hot-dogs, Popcorn etc.

It´s a comfortable Italian or French restaurant. Candles are on the tables and the kitchen is shown behind an open door.

14: Train station
The Train station is shown from a platform. Trains and freight cars (not too modern) are shown. Baggage is also shown on the platform.

In the pharmacy are counter and shelves with medicine shown. The medicines are in boxes and bottles. All packets are without any written word.

In the hospital a reception area is shown. Like in “Emergency Room”, there are treatment rooms around. There are no patients visible. The treatment rooms with patients are closed!

17: animal shelter
Especially the administration area is shown. It´s possible to also show rooms and equipment for pets (e.g. cat tree, kennel). There are many pictures of different pets at the walls.

18: diving school
The diving school is located in a wooden house. There are many diving utensils at the walls and also underwater pictures (corals, fishes etc.) and a calendar without a visible month. The diving school seems like it would be located on a Caribbean strand.

19: scrap yard
At the scrap yard are mostly old cars which are also stacked up. Furthermore there are other old gadgets like an open freezer, TV etc. We do not need a hut like in the example!

The hotel is relative modern and with a high standard. The reception and an opened lift are shown. There is some baggage (cases and hanging garments) in the lobby.
The hotel is very light and pleasant. It could be a hotel in the Caribbean!

The hut is shown from inside. The hut is very old and partly decayed. The windows are secured with rusty bars. The floor is partly broken and white sand (like a strand) is shown.

22: Estate of the perpetrator
The villain of the game is living here. The estate is very neglected and overgrown. On the estate, a house and garage are shown. House and garage are also much neglected. The plaster is dropped off, windows are shattered and the shutters are tilted.

The very big garage is also neglected and completely choked up. It must be at least one old dented car inside the rubbish heap (separate layer!).

I will draw background graphics for a Hidden Object game. I'm have good experience not only at 2d graphics but in gaming industry too and understand WHAT people's want from a game.
