The task is very simple and needs basic knowledge of Illustrator. I will give you some books or images to work on. All you need to do is to edit the image, smoothen them out and fill in the keywords as per the image and the description of the image in that particular ebook.
I will need you to work on just 2-3 images before so that you can understand the requirements and I am in a better position to judge your skills. This is a long term work and might continue regularly for over a year.
The compensation per image will be INR 9 and initially, I will need at least 500 images per week. Will increase the number gradually.
Just do it for 2-3 images for now.
I will send you a couple of raw images and you will need to refine the images in Illustrator to create the EPS files. Once your samples are approved I will send you the images in bulk.
Once finalized this is what you will need to do.
1. I will send you all the images to be worked upon along with an excel which has the names of all the images to be worked upon. Each of the images that I will send might have more than one picture or may have none. You have to work only on the pictures in the image (or the page). The excel will have the numbers clearly mentioned so you need to extract only those number of images from that page and name it accordingly. For example, the raw image is named as Image101-1 in the Excel that I send. When you see the raw image with name Image101 you will need to extract the picture from that image. There will be some raw images which may have more than one picture to be extracted and filtered. In that case, the images names will be mentioned as following in the Excel: Image101-1, Image101-2, Image101-3. This means that the raw image has three meaningful pictures which need to be extracted.
2. When you extract the image(s) you will have to refine each of them and create a vector for the same. Most of the image will be black and white. You must refine each of the images, create a vector and make sure there are no stray points or trademarks in the image you have extracted. For example, if the image you have extracted is of a chair and the name of the brand is mentioned in the picture, you must remove that image/ trademark/ name. Once you are done you need to name the image as per the Excel. The naming convention will be from top to bottom and left to right. So if there are two pictures in the raw image, one on the top left of the page and second on the bottom right they will be named as Image101-1 (for the top left one) and Image101-2 (for the bottom right one). Here Image101 is the name of the raw image from where you are extracting. The naming convention needs to be strictly followed because each of these images will also have a description, keywords etc which will be done separately. It is very important that the naming convention is followed strictly to avoid incorrect description to be added to a particular picture.
3. I will send you the initial raw image and the final image (the EPS file after working on it) so that you can have a good idea.
Usually, you have to all the following steps:
1- Open file in photoshop, select image area and copy it.
2- Open the empty file in illustrator and paste the image into it.
3- Create a vector using the Image Trace option I gave you (save as preset to reuse quickly) and expand.
4- Clean stray point, write a description and keyword the image.
5- Save as EPS10
The compensation for the Illustrator part is INR 9 per image and for the keywords, part is INR 3 per image.
All the detailed instructions for Illustrator and Keywords part is given in the attachment.
