I need help in designing Derby style shoe for men… designed with a little more soul than your average Derby. Don’t get me wrong I love my Johnson & Murphy Oxfords and Derbys, but they still have a touch of grandpa in them and surprisingly still aren’t the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. I’m creating this shoe for millennials in their 30s, in denial about starting a family, still going to the nightclub on Thursday and then dragging into the office on Friday morning (possibly wearing the same clothes). This is a shoe that will be worn with a dark pair of jeans or chinos but if push came to shove and you had no other options you would throw them on with a suit and not be too ashamed.
