We just put up a new WordPress site that we will be launching in a couple of weeks and need to get our load speed down.
It is running at around 5.5 seconds right now but < 3 would be desirable.
It is a publishing site and we will be adding approximately 10 new articles per day, each with 2-4 images per article. One of the primary load issues is specifying image dimensions... we need a solution that can do this on the fly or need to know what to "add" to each image when publishing the articles in the WP admin that will take care of this.
There are also a couple of other things like CSS sprites, redirects, optimizing style & script order, etc.
Looking to get this taken care of a.s.a.p.
P.S. To get a better idea of what needs to be tweaked, the site is [url removed, login to view] & you can run a scan on [url removed, login to view] to see the list of what is keeping it from loading as fast as it should be.
