Make Responsive CSS changes on Magento Theme

I have been making my own Magento theme based on RWD but I have problems with the responsive mobile category.
I have made the mobile category icon show until 965 pixels wide, after 966 pixels the normal categories display.
After I did this there is an issue with the mobile category tree drop down. It moves around depending on your screen resolution. It also seems to be broken on some resolutions. I need this fixed
