Set date on webpage using Pikaday datepicker

I am embedding and running an external script on an existing webpage (using Chromedriver) and need to set a date in an input field using Javascript. I don't have access to the instance of the Pikaday object.
I need assistance in creating a few lineslines of javascript that will :
- find the input elements for from- and to-date
- Insert a date in each field so it triggers the events that are ordinarily triggered on selection in the date-picker.
