Web Application Work

[CS Grad Admission]\r\n\r\nThe CS Department receives hundreds of applications for the graduate program every year. In this assignment you are going to implement a web application that helps the department to manage the applications. Your implementation must use Servlet, JSP, and the MVC architecture. The data can be stored in application scope, i.e. you do not need to use database for this assignment. Note that no JSP Scripting Elements (i.e. JSP Expression, JSP Declaration, and JSP Scriptlet) are allowed in JSP pages. JavaScript is not JSP scripting element so feel free to use JavaScript code and libraries.\r\n\r\nThe default page of the web application shows the list of the applications as follows:\r\n\r\nCS Grad Admission\r\n\r\nAdd New Application\r\nApplicant Application Received On GPA Status \r\nJohn Doe 10/21/2015 3.1 Pending Review Edit\r\nJane Doe 3/20/2015 Application Incomplete Edit\r\nAmy Smith 3/1/2015 3.3 Accepted Edit\r\n\r\nBy default the applications are sorted by the date when the application was received (i.e. Application Received On) in descending order. Clicking on the column headers of Applicant, GPA, Status should sort the list of applications by applicant name (ascending order), GPA (descending order), and status (ascending order), respectively.\r\n\r\nAfter the CS department receives a new application, a staff can click on Add New Application to add the information of the new application as shown below:\r\n\r\nCS Grad Admission > Add New Application\r\nApplicant: \r\nApplication Received On (M/d/yyyy): \r\nGPA: \r\nStatus: \r\n\r\nThe date when the application was received should be entered in the format of M/d/yyyy, e.g. 3/20/2015.\r\n\r\nThe status of an application can be one of the following:\r\n\r\n Application Incomplete - the application is received but some required information/documents are missing.\r\n Pending Review - all the application materials have been received and the application is ready to be reviewed.\r\n Rejected - the application is rejected.\r\n Accepted - the application is accepted.\r\n Admission Offer Sent - the application is accepted, and an admission offer letter or email was sent to the applicant.\r\n Admission Offer Accepted - the applicant has accepted the admission offer.\r\n\r\nAll fields are required except for GPA. No input validation is required for this assignment, though your code should properly handle the case where GPA is empty.\r\n\r\nA user can click on the Edit link of an application to edit it. For example:\r\n\r\nCS Grad Admission > Edit Application\r\nApplicant: \r\nApplication Received On (M/d/yyyy): \r\nGPA: \r\nStatus: \r\n\r\nNote that the edit form must be pre-filled with the current information of the application.\r\n
