I am from Dublin, Ireland. I have a very unique, important and fun children's story to tell that the world need's to hear! I hope to get my project funded through crowdfunding. I strongly believe that this project has alot of potential to be successfully funded. I'm looking for a very talented illustrator to help bring my story to life.
I have a small bit of experience using adobe illustrator. I could take a very poor shot at doing this project myself but I know that I would not do this justice at all. I have illustrated a very very simple book before with a friend but this project is now going to be a very challenging task to produce a very fine, professional children’s book that will fully capture my story.
I don’t wish to disclose all the details of my story yet but I can give some vague details. The main characters are cartoon animals – for example a turtle, an elephant, a puffin and so forth. These animals might find themselves in different countries in the world, for example in a big city or in the jungle or on the leaning tower of Pisa!
Apart from being an exceptional illustrator, I’m looking for someone who can really capture my imagination and bring the story to life and I believe this will require exceptional project management and communication skills. As I mentioned before, this is new to me and I don’t have experience working with someone I don’t know or really ever on a project like this.
As I mentioned already this will be crowdfunded. I’m hoping to release an childrens ebook for apple ios for sure and maybe run a print version at a later stage if successful. I assume that these two formats can be easily accomodated during the design process? Its want it to be big and beautiful and it’s a bit of an adventure so around your average kids book 28 – 30 pages or so! It’s hard for me to mention a budget but right now. I’m more concerned about quality and finding the right fit for me than pricing and finding someone who this project will be a pleasure to work with. I'd hope its going to be a medium project but who knows it could be even bigger you never know how much support you could get with kickstarter. I really just want to find the right fit first.
After reading this pitch I hope that you can make a pitch back to me. I hope that you can make me believe that you have the talent, you’re the correct fit for this project and finally don’t be afraid just to tell me a bit about youself other than your artistic abilities as I would like to get to know you a bit too (hobbies, passions etc.). I really hope that this project turns out to be a success and I wish you the very best of luck. Thanks for reading. ☺
