I need an SCCM specialist to build out and fully test new task sequences for Windows 11. The work involved creating a task sequence based on the following: • We have already captured a WIM image. • That image is of a Win 11 machine, that has had all windows updated installed • .Net has been installed. • Dell Command Update has been installed. • The machine was then sysprep, generalized and shut down. • The reference image was then captured. What we now need to do, is deploy as task sequence: • Install the image - not a problem this is simple • Not apply windows settings -- we are a reseller so ship kit booting to OOBE • Not apply config manager client - again this machines are shipped to customer Where we are coming unstuck. • .We need to run execute the Dell Command Update application which can be run from the command prompt. It will then install all the updated drivers, firmware.... • Once that has been completed and after several possible restarts we want to run a clean up script that will un-installed DCU, remove .net, clean up the folders and then finally sysprep, generalize and reboot to the OOBE experience. We have struggled with this for 2 weeks now having varying degrees of success. So we are only interested in hearing from people that can actually understand the requirement and can execute. We will only pay when the task is completed. Deliverables I expect: 1. A task sequences saved to our lab environment, clearly named and documented. 2. The task sequence working, booting the machine, deploying DCU, removing it and returning to OOBE If this is routine work for you and you can start quickly, let’s talk. But again, i only want experts as this work, not everyone willing to have a go. We will pay on success not trying

Recently, I’ve built and stabilized SCCM/MECM Windows 10/11 task sequences for OEMs and resellers shipping devices to customers in true OOBE state, including offline WIM deployment, Dell Command Update execution with multiple reboots, post-driver cleanup, and final sysprep/generalize without ConfigMgr client or domain artifacts. Practical approach: ✔ Design offline TS flow to apply the captured Win11 WIM only, explicitly skipping ConfigMgr client and OS settings ✔ Run Dell Command Update via command-line in WinPE/Full OS with controlled reboot handling and TS state persistence ✔ Manage reboots safely using TS variables and restart conditions so DCU resumes until completion ✔ Execute cleanup phase to uninstall DCU, remove .NET, clean temp/artifact folders, and reset the image ✔ Finalize with sysprep/OOBE using the correct unattend flags to guarantee first-boot OOBE for the customer I believe my extensive experience and proactive approach would resolve your issue within a day.
