Virtual Event Coordinator/Translator

Project-based, Virtual Event Coordinator - Japanese Native Speaker We are looking for a fluent Japanese speaker to help our team complete a guesting project and organising a virtual event in Japanese. Project period: July 20th 2020 (or ASAP) - August 28th 2020 Hours: Monday-Friday, 4 pm - 8 pm (Tokyo time) Responsibilities: Translate all copy (website, invitations, emails, speeches, brochures, power points, and other marketing materials) from English to Japanese Assist the Guesting Director in reaching out to the qualified leads via email, calls, social media, etc. Attend weekly update calls with the client Attend and assist the team during dry runs and the actual event Potential additionals: Make calls (including cold calls) to invite potential guests using a professional and senior language Build up prospect lists and identifying and approaching key opinion leaders to moderate the discussion Do the introductions on behalf of Ortus and act as a “Master of Ceremonies” during the event Requirements: Native Japanese speaker Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written in business tone) in Japanese and English Have a stable internet connection at home Preferred undergraduate degree in Language Studies, Translation, and/or Marketing Communications Preferred experience in language-related tasks such as translation, proof-reading, editing, and/or content creation
