We have developed java application which uses AWT to build a UI. There is a background picture and buttons can be "placed" on this picture, controlled by a text file.
Now, an "operator" can pick a station or some stations (by selecting some buttons, clicking on them), then "activate" a function (it is IP audio streaming or sending a UDP datagram).
The application/UI works well on linux and windows, but does NOT on the MAC.
a) buttons surrounding area is not transparent
b) redrawing issues (resizing the window will lose the buttons
c) button properties (text/color) do NOT change when set by the application.
We are looking for someone who has experience with this on a MAC, can review our sourcecode, and can either fix this or make suggestions what needs to be done. You an also quote to re-write the UI part of the application to make it more portable (for example using Swing or ?? i am not an expert, just the CEO ..)
For obvious reasons i cannot post the java code here, i understand this is a bit of "blind" betting.
So, please provide a quote - and explain what you quote (review+suggestions, fix rewrite using BLAH to make 100% compatible on yyy platforms etc).
Thank you
