Comment: For the projects in this course you will need a Java and a C++ compiler. You should already have a Java compiler from your previous courses. The C++ compiler I recommend using is Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express, which can be downloaded at [url removed, login to view] I recommend downloading it as soon as possible because you will need it for both the homework assignments and the second project.
If you have any questions pertaining to the necessary compilers, please post it as a response to this topic.
I have attached a document that contains screenshots that shows how to create a project, write a Hello World program and run it. You should be sure to do that after you have installed the compiler
Before you start, please do this first:
One: (I need this to post ASAP)
Please post an example of valid input to this program. I will check whether it conforms to the syntax defined by the grammar, and if it it does, show you what the corresponding output should look like.
Two: (I need this to post today)
It would be a good idea to define an enumerated type for the tokens (terminal symbols) of the GUI definition language that you are required to parse in project 1. Indicate what tokens are required of this language.
