We are looking for an InDesign CS3 plug-in (or script) to correctly work with the xml tree.
The plug-in would replace the current methods for updating the xml tree.
Currently when “Apply Tags to Styles” or “Apply Styles to Tags” are used all xml attributes are lost.
The plug-in would update the xml tree where styles on a page correspond to xml tags.
This includes the following:
1.) Adding of missing elements.
2.) Remapping incorrect tags.
3.) Deleting elements that no-longer exist in document
The xml element must retain all attributes associated with it prior to running the plug-in.
1.) The plug-in needs to work with single documents.
2.) The document will include numerous xml tags and styles.
3.) The document may be a few pages or hundreds of pages.
4.) The xml tree was constructed from the document and is not an import.
