We are looking for someone creative to develop a series of exercises for beginners to learn how to program, by using Blockly (a version of Scratch made by Google) and our browser based game platform ([url removed, login to view]). Cyberspaces is an isometric gaming platform that we would like to use as an educational tool, to help beginners learn how to program games and interactive social spaces.
This purpose of this project is to create a fun and engaging set of challenges that will take approximately one hour to play through, with the intention of publishing it on [url removed, login to view] under "Hour of code". This includes creating the sequence of exercises, texts and script.
The goal is to lead users to create an interactive world and implement several AI characters to interact with. Our thought are that the user will start with learning how to program blocks to create an AI character, then make them walk around and perform actions and so forth. Have a look at [url removed, login to view] for an example of something similar to what we are looking for.
All required API functionality and artwork will be provided. There will be 2 developers available to work with you during the project, who will create interfaces and additions to achieve the best user experience.
