Update Joomla site from 1.5.15 to 2.5.

I would like to hire an experienced Joomla web site person to update my site from version 1.5.15 to the latest 2.5. All content will also need to be updated/transferred/translated, etc. from the old to the new. If you use a script to do the transferring, you MUST test to make sure the content categories and sections, as well as the content itself, works under the new system. Menus will need to be duplicated, etc... The current template is desired. I'm willing to purchase a new one if I have to. ## Deliverables I expect that some components, extensions and/or plugin will not work. I am willing to explore new ones and simply drop the old ones that just will not function. For the components, extensions and/or plugins that have updated versions, I will work with the coder to install them, but I will be asking the coder to help make sure that the new system works. I have web space to create a ghost site for setting up the entire thing off-line. Once it all works, I'll ask the coder to do the important work of dealing with the database addressing and the folder structure changes to switch to the new site. The important components that I need to work include: Community Builder or equivalent DT Register JCE editor or equivalent Weblinks component of some sort to make linking to pages easy. I'd also like an amazon associates component of some sort to insert links easily. I will want to do more work on the site in the near future. This might be more work for the right coder. Please send me links to current Joomla sites you have worked on. As you'll see by my ratings, I'm a fairly good guy to work with. I'm eager to work with a coder who is willing to teach me some of the behind the scenes stuff. Look around to make sure you're comfortable with this job. I've already done tests with import scripts to get the site into both 1.7 and 2.x with good results. It's the templates that give me trouble. I want constant updates as we move along please. I've wondered about changing the site to wordpress, but had a bad experience with a coder in attempting to do so. I would really like to have images link to my various areas on the site. This might have to be a separate VW bid, but I figured I'd ask as we're likely to have to update/upgrade the site template anyway... I would supply all the images, but I'd ask you to build the home page. OR, I could post another job to do that. What would I ask for? A photoshop image with embedded links????
