The SRX340 I picked up second-hand is still on JunOS 15 and refuses every USB upgrade attempt. A Windows machine with the console cable already attached will be yours to control remotely; the required .tgz image for the exact JunOS release I want is sitting on that PC. The task is to zeroize the device and reload it cleanly with the version I provide—no configuration backup is needed because this is a fresh lab build. Once the installation completes, I simply need to see the firewall booting into the new code and accepting basic commands. Key points you’ll handle: • Full wipe/zeroize and reformat from the loader prompt • Image transfer via USB, TFTP or any workable method that bypasses the missing stepping release • Post-install verification, including successful commit on an empty config Deliverable: the SRX340 running my specified JunOS version plus a brief text log of the commands you used so I can repeat the process later. I’m on Eastern Time and would like to schedule the session after 6 PM ET on a weekday, but I can be flexible if needed. Let me know when you’re available and we can get this sorted quickly. I have a total of 3 units, really just need to learn what I am doing wrong during the wipe/zero process. If we can get one unit working, I'm sure I'd be able to get the other 2 working after reviewing the steps you have taken.

Subject: Juniper SRX340 Recovery Expert | JunOS Clean Install via Loader/USB Hi! I can help you fix your SRX340 issues and perform a clean "zero-install" of your JunOS image. I understand the frustration with JunOS 15 upgrade paths. Since you have a Windows machine with console access and the .tgz image ready, we can bypass the standard update errors by using the Loader prompt (U-Boot) method. My Plan for our session: Low-level Wipe: Access the loader> prompt to format the flash storage and wipe the old config/slices. Installation: I will use the install file:/// method from a USB drive or setup a local TFTP/FTP server on your Windows PC (using FileZilla or Tftpd64) to push the image directly to the SRX. Verification: Ensure the device boots into the new JunOS version, perform a commit on a blank config, and check hardware health. Documentation: I will provide a full command log (from PuTTY/TeraTerm) and a brief guide so you can replicate this on your other 2 units. Availability: 6:00 PM EST works for me (which is 12:00 AM/1:00 AM Kyiv time — I am flexible and can stay up for this session). Experience: I have experience with console-level recovery and hardware troubleshooting. Let's hop on a call/AnyDesk and get your lab running!
