My company is about to introduce a new line of industrial products to manufacturers across China, and I need a sales professional on the ground who also understands the local legal landscape. Your primary mission will be to win orders from manufacturing clients, but every step—from presenting our offer to drafting the final contract—has to pass Chinese commercial-law scrutiny. You will be expected to build and nurture a pipeline, handle price and term negotiations in Mandarin and English, and make sure each agreement complies with import rules, product-liability standards, and invoicing regulations. Experience selling to factory purchasing teams, knowledge of distribution licensing, and the ability to spot potential regulatory red flags before they become deal-breakers are critical. Deliverables • A monthly report listing new manufacturing leads, status of each negotiation, and projected close dates. • At least one fully executed sales contract per quarter that meets Chinese contract-law requirements and reflects mutually agreed commercial terms. • Copies of all legal documents you review or draft, annotated to highlight compliance checkpoints you verified. Success will be measured by contract volume, deal profitability, and zero legal surprises.
